What Winning is…Stage IV Cancer Swimmer Competes

 

In the movie, "Rocky Balboa," Rocky gives his son some great life/career advice, "It's not how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward...that's how winning is done..." Victoria Chidester is a real life example of what winning is.  

 

This story is about a cancer patient with Stage IV Colon Cancer that competed last month at the US Senior Swim Nationals.  Her faith, positive attitude, and perseverance are an inspiration.  It is also a reminder that there are powers beyond what we know in medicine and that we should never be victim of limiting beliefs.  To read more about Victoria Chidester....click here.
