We have a current need for an outstanding and professional pharmacy manager to assume the role described below:

 Our residents enjoy lakes, beautiful city parks and trails, museums, and other attractions. Our proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex offers residents access to several nationally recognized entertainment attractions, including nine other North Texas water bodies, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, the West End Marketplace, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, the Fort Worth Zoo and the Fort Worth Stockyards

Our Health care System is an expanding system serving the southern part of the DFW Metroplex. We are a teaching and referral hospital that today provides a variety of exceptional clinical programs and services, including multi-organ transplantation, cardiology, oncology and physical rehabilitation services, maternity, neonatology and emergency/trauma care.

We are looking for Pharmacy Clinical Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmacy Education.
BS or Pharm.D degree.
State licensure as a Pharmacist.
Completion of three years of hospital pharmacy experience or an ASHP - approved pharmacy residency or fellowship program.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

EXPERIENCE:
Required - Demonstrates leadership skills are also required to lead a team of pharmacists and work with other health care professionals to review, develop, implement, and monitor drug use policies and practices.
Required - Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as innovation, initiative and persistence.
Required - Knowledge in pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics Required Demonstrated the ability to assess patients' drug therapy and provide consultations as requested by medical staff.
Required Demonstrates the ability to effectively participate on interdisciplinary teams and committees.
Required - Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheet software and pharmacy information systems.

Provides oversight of clinical programs to ensure maximization and efficiency of clinical processes.
Directs, coordinates, and participates in the design, collection, and reporting of drug utilization evaluations to support proper utilization of medications in the clinical setting.
Evaluates new medications and technologies regarding formulary decisions consistent with department, hospital and medical staff policies. Develops and coordinates implementation plans for the use of these products. Develops policies and procedures as they relate to clinical services.
Ensures that medication therapy is safe, rational, cost-effective and consistent with all pertinent hospital policies and procedures. Implements and assesses programs that promote safe medication therapy.
